Why a Brand Universe blog?

Welcome to this eclectic collection of articles that reflect my passion for exploring diverse brand and business growth challenges. They reflect inspiration gained in and far beyond my consultancy or academy work for companies such as Unilever, Starbucks, GSK, Essity, Mars, Prudential, Tesco, etc. The aim for every article is to distil learning from approaches, business models and tactics. I find that considering and codifying how other businesses confront challenges is a great way to expand thinking.

To grow any brand you need to get people to change their behaviour. My articles therefore often promote consideration of the behavioural influences on choices and actions. It is part of my mission to encourage clients to apply an awareness of the barriers to behaviour change alongside insight.
